A baker's dozen didn't bring us luck
That was the second F-Race 200 event that we take part in. This time we were aiming to hit our records and go to finals, take some glorious 1st place... Keeping in mind all our preparation work done, Ford Focus should have flown, overtaking competitors one by one but apparently it ran otherwise :)
First we got to change our team number from 5 to 13. Yeh, that's right - a baker's dozen which in most countries and religions is a symbol of bad luck...
Another thing is that we renamed our team to "Hot Pistons" and damn right.. this time they got really hot! Twice! We had reoccurring issues with cooling system.

First we had to replace crooked radiator which got few holes. Fighting on track raised system temperature and obviously cooling vents started to operate. That's fine but as our radiator was bent, vents rubbed radiator until it started leaking. Damn (1)!
Luckily, we found a spare, used radiator from another Focus very close to our racing spot. Friend gave us a lift, bought radiator for 15 euros, installed in 5 min and we were back on track. Unfortunately - not for a long time :(

As Mindaugas was chasing some dudes on one of the hard corners Ford tire slipped out of the rim! Damn (2)... Well, he had to visit pits and change the wheel. That was easy fix as we got 2 spare ones but our problems weren't finished yet there.
Mindaugas let Tadas to continue good job on track but he managed to ran only 1 extra lap when heating system went out of order again! This time that was a fatal problem - distribution pipe cracked and cooling fluid got out as geyser! That stopped our Focus and the race... Damn! (3)

Overall feeling
All team members run few laps, which is a good thing. Despite some spins due to locking brakes at the back, one hit to Focus back right, plus all other technical problems - race was interesting and really fun! Unfortunately this time Ford Focus let us to feel more worry than joy...
