The Big Day

That was a hell of fun! At one minute F-Race may seemed as Fun but the other as F'kin race!
It was a fight at the right place and the good thing is that our 'Santa' team was prepared for it!

This F-200 race theme was "Special service vehicles in town that can do speeding legally" that means - police, ambulance, firetruck, etc. We thought that Santa Claus is also speeding in town so styled our Ford Focus as Santa's sled! Some Christmas gift or candy colors, some stickers and we are good to go!

Major collisions and outcomes

Ford versus Puma:
The very first collision (or kiss?) with Ford was made by a very anxious girl of red Ford Puma. She was on a fight (or horny?) mood in a very first exploratory lap! What a passion, what a race girl!
No problem! That didn't stop us! Just a small piece of bumper was lost. Puma had to push back it's front wheel axle :)

Ford versus Honda Accord:
That one was on me. Was overtaking Honda Accord that slipped out of a track and gave me a chance to take the lead. In my misfortune Honda's driver decided to get back on track without paying attention that he already lost his position! Shame on him! His Honda lost it's front bumper after  the collision. Ford got few scratches on front left fender and the door.

Ford versus Mazda 323
Pictures talk for themselves. German steal hit Japanese can fairly bad...
Both cars got out of the roundabout at the same speed, in the same position and it's too bad that our path was 'turn left' as Mazda's  - turn right. According to driving rules, Mazda's driver should have gave up his place for us to pass by first to the left. But that's the F-200 race, not all drivers follow the rules and this driver seemed to be a bit out of control not only himself but the car too. Somebody said that he even don't hold the drivers license... Well, according to his dangerous behavior not only in this situation but in many others, I am not surprised.

Overall feeling
All went just fine. From technical side Ford stood brave - engine was running smooth (well expect the rough throttling at one time). Chassis endure very well all the bad gravel and all the pits, jumps to the air.
Despite all the experienced collisions, Ford body was good to ride back itself  home legally on road. We just had to put back the original headlights, turn signals and we were fine to go!

What was the score? We went to the finals and took glorious place somewhere in the middle. Besides that the goal and expectations for the first f-race were met as team desired :)
